Make the Last Six Weeks Count

There are just 6 weeks left in the year and while most people start to slow down, you should be using this time to close in on this year’s goals and build serious momentum for the year ahead.

It’s not about cramming in more work or burning out before the holidays.

It’s about refocusing on what matters, rebuilding consistency, and ending the year proud of the progress you’ve made.

Over the next 6 weeks I’m going to run a newsletter series designed to help you achieve your goals for this year and set you up for the year ahead.

I’m doing this along side you and will show you step by step what to do to set you up for success.

Step 1: Reflect Before You Reset

Before jumping into action, take a few minutes to reflect:

  1. What worked well this year?

  2. What didn’t?

  3. What matters most right now?

Reflection gives you perspective. It helps you spot what’s worth repeating and what needs to change.

Often, you’ll find that finishing strong isn’t about adding more to your plate - it’s about simplifying, focusing, and doing the right things well.

Step 2: Choose One Needle-Mover

With six weeks left, focus on a single area that will make a meaningful difference.

Ask yourself: “What’s one goal I can make real progress on before the year ends that will set me up for a stronger start next year?

Some examples:

  • Drop the last couple of kilos you’ve been aiming for

  • Rebuild consistency with your core habits

  • Clean up your finances before the holidays

  • Wrap up a personal or professional project.

Choose one, commit to it, and let everything else become secondary.

Step 3: Create Your 6-Week Sprint

Treat the rest of the year like a focused project. A short, intentional sprint.

Break your goal down like this:

  • Define one clear outcome for each week

  • List three key actions that will move you closer

  • Reflect every Sunday to review progress and reset

Six small, focused weeks compound fast when you track and adjust consistently.

Step 4: Protect Your Energy

Finishing strong doesn’t mean running yourself into the ground.

Energy management is your secret weapon:

  • Get enough sleep

  • Keep nutrition and hydration on track

  • Cut back on alcohol and late nights

  • Make time for recovery and movement

Protecting your energy keeps you sharp, clear, and consistent which means you’ll finish stronger because you slowed down where it counts.

Step 5: Reconnect With Your “Why”

As the year winds down, motivation naturally dips.
That’s when your “why” matters most.

Revisit your goals and remind yourself why they exist. When you reconnect emotionally to what you’re chasing, discipline becomes easier and progress feels meaningful again.

The Bottom Line

You don’t need to wait for January to start again. In fact, I always get ahead of the New Year. Reset, refocus and build momentum now.

Six intentional weeks of focus can completely change how you finish the year and how you start the next one.
