Before We Begin: Where We Are in the Sprint
We’re now in Week 4 of our 6-week year-end sprint.
If you’ve followed along, you’ve already built the foundations:
Week 1: You set your North Star - the one goal that truly matters in the final stretch.
Week 2: You learned how to prioritise like a pro using the Eisenhower Matrix.
Week 3: You built a structured week and a structured day, giving you the execution system to stay consistent.
Now comes the part a lot of people miss:
Learning how to reset each week so you stay on track.
Because structure only works when you maintain it.
That’s where the Sunday Setup becomes your secret weapon.
Why the Sunday Setup Matters
Most people start their week in chaos and already behind. They hit Monday tired, unfocused, and scrambling to catch up.
But high performers do the opposite. They start Monday with clarity, calm, and intention because they prepared for it.
The Sunday Setup is your weekly reset and realignment ritual.
I do this every week. It keeps my priorities sharp, my energy managed, and my week intentional and planned.
For me it’s about having an anchor in the week - that repeatable moment where I check in, adjust, and reset, instead of drifting.
The 30-Minute Sunday Reset (The Exact System)
This is the system I follow and it’s what you’ll follow every Sunday.
It takes 30 minutes and the impact lasts all week.
Let’s break it down:
Step 1: Review the Week Just Gone (10 minutes)
This is your reflection moment. Ask yourself:
What worked well this week?
What didn’t?
Did I move my priority/goal(s) forward?
Where did I fall off and why?
What did I learn about my energy, focus, or habits?
This part matters more than people realise. It’s an honest reflection that helps you reconnect with reality, not the perfect plan you imagined.
Step 2: Reset Your Priorities (10 minutes)
Now, bring back the Eisenhower Matrix.
Sort your upcoming to-dos into four categories:
Urgent & Important: Do early in the week
Important, Not Urgent: Schedule (these are your needle-movers)
Urgent, Not Important: Minimise / batch / delegate
Not Urgent, Not Important: Delete
Your ONE North Star goal still sits at the centre of your plan. Everything else aligns around it.
If last week got messy? This is how you course-correct…cleanly, without guilt.
Step 3: Set Up Your Week (10 minutes)
This is where structure becomes practical.
1. Theme your days
Lock in the themes we built in last week’sNewsletter.
This creates predictable rhythm.
2. Add your weekly non-negotiables
Workouts, walks, study blocks, reflection time, focus sessions.
3. Schedule your focus blocks
2–4 deep work windows reserved for meaningful progress.
Protect this time - don’t let anyone or anything take this time away from you.
4. Plan your energy
When will you rest?
When will you move?
When will you disconnect?
This is how you set up a week you can actually stick to.
What if Last Week Didn’t Go Well?
Good…this is the perfect place for you.
Because the Sunday Setup isn’t about perfection, it’s about recovery, resetting and realigning back to your plan.
If last week fell apart:
acknowledge it
understand why
adjust
reset.
One bad week only becomes a bad month when you skip the reset.
The Sunday Setup makes sure you never drift too far from your goals.
The Reminder
You’re not meant to “wing it” every week. You’re meant to design your week with intention.
I protect my weekly reset and make sure I do it. It’s a super powerful exercise to keep you on track.
When you take 30 minutes on Sunday to review, reset, and plan:
Monday feels lighter
Your days run smoother
Your priorities stay clear
Your goal moves forward.
This is how consistency is built, week after week.
And this week, we do it together.
